What is the highest amount you can sue for in a Civil Court Case?

I am contemplating filing a lawsuit against a former employer (long story). If I file a claim through the Labour Board, I can only sue for a maximum of $10,000. I was actually hoping to sue for much more than that. What is the maximum that you can sue for in a Civil Court Case here in Ontario, Canada? Thanks in advance.

Tdot
In small claims court the maximum is $25 000. You can sue for more, but you will need to go to a higher court and therefore will need a lawyer.
